Collecting BG elements for my new film about a grumpy magpie. I’m exploring aging, friendship, digital identity, and urban density with handmade materials like paper, sticks, and clay. For the first time, I’m using dialogue and famous music too!

“Inbetweening Beings” is my animation/film/projection/MFA thesis project overlapping animated life. A new(ish) iteration will be exhibited at assemblage, a window gallery at 2015 Dundas st. W, Toronto, Feb 12- Mar 11, between 4-11 pm daily (or whenever the blinds get opened!)

I made this #lenticular painting for an upcoming window gallery show, to be seen in two ways by people passing by.
It’ll be part of an installation of “Inbetweening Beings”, my 2022 MFA idea about using animation’s increments to overlap species. More news to come!

Our first “Living Frames: Animation for Ecology & Sustainability” workshop happened in late 2025, with an energetic group of students and faculty. We explored Grange Park and experimented with materials in the @ocadu_experimental_animation stop-motion studio.
I’m excited to continue this research with @cristalclear_ and the group in 2026!

#flipbook connecting humans to other species. It has been my absolute pleasure to see people (especially kids) interact with this project.
After the festival run (or walk?) I’ll be posting the film online for free in early 2026.

Everything is running!
For me, running isn’t everything (I’m a casual jogger) but I loved making this collage-illustration with 5 built-in jokes for @irunnation magazine!!!!!👃🐟🚘🌊❄️
Here is a process video of how I made it, starting with a visit to the salmon run at the Humber river. After a sketch and shoe photography came hours of photoshop fiddling. Music is “Sun” by Caribou, an energizing song that gets me running. Happy fall, keep moving, and enjoy the sun 🍂🏃♂️☀️⏳
