« I found echoes of the ’80s in IRO’s own past. So I went back to watch French films like Full Moon in Paris with Pascale Ogier, A Summer’s Tale or The Green Ray, for example. I mix that with contemporary dance and fragments of the punk and grunge movements, which I love. In all of it, I’m drawn to the idea of celebration - a theatrical, joyful kind of party.
