This Veterans Day, we want to shine a light on the urgent need to shift policy around the use of psychedelic medicines for the treatment of PTSD and TBI. Our award-winning documentary IN WAVES AND WAR shows the emotional journey of three Navy SEALs who, after exhausting all resources available to them here in the U.S., traveled to Mexico to find healing and HOPE through these indigenous medicines.

WRITE to your state and local representatives to urge them to consider drafting or supporting legislation that will allocate funds for the research of psychedelic medicine for the treatment of PTSD and TBI.

Grateful to spend time with the @drbronner team at their Vista, CA headquarters for a special staff screening of In Waves and War! The day was made even more meaningful by a post-screening Q&A with director Jon Shenk, who joined the staff for a thoughtful conversation about trauma, healing and why these stories matter. Thank you, Dr. Bronner’s, for creating space for empathy, reflection, and dialogue.
This sequence was about transcending the boundaries of realism.
For In Waves and War (Netflix), the Ibogaine sequence protagonists were crafted using photogrammetry scans and 3D-adapted MetaHuman models, allowing us to depict them convincingly while still injecting a personal touch.
We combined motion capture with hand-keyframed animation in Maya and Houdini, paired with hand-painted backgrounds and textures — creating a collage of elements that incorporate photographs, illustrative elements, and semi-realistic characters.
