Jon Shenk and Bonni Cohen’s IN WAVES AND WAR follows soldiers back from Afghanistan whose efforts to reassimilate are thwarted by traumatic brain injury and PTSD. Desperate for relief and confronted with the alarming rate of veteran suicide in their community, they finally find unexpected hope and healing with a treatment program only legal outside the U.S. Opens in theaters Oct. 3 in Los Angeles and streams Nov. 3 on NETFLIX.
