She did everything herself – producing, writing, performing, mixing, and mastering. Maeve says: 'For you’ is my first release, produced, performed and mixed by myself. It reflects this idea of exploring more traditional song structure but by using Eric Satie style chords, electronic textures and melodies which are intertwined with a jazz approach the freedom of the voice. The song is about carrying someone emotionally, and saying goodbye to a part of myself which caused me a lot of pain.
