The Rookie! My favorite cold open I got to be a part of playing Gary the knife guy. Was such a blessing to be a part of this show and have the chance to tell Nathan Fillion how much my cousin @marcusbrains and I loved Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog and him as Captain Hammer. 😆 Funny thing is, all those knives were real, just dulled out. Damn I really wanted to keep that belt buckle knife haha. Many thanks to Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting, director Lanre Olabisi, and the beautifully welcoming and kind crew for the opportunity to play in such a fun and safe space!

Somewhere on this journey I got a little jaded and started quantizing wins. Don’t do that. Be proud and share art, the path is already callous enough to not celebrate along the way. Had the blessing of being able to share a moment on Abbott Elementary in season 5. This brought me so much joy getting the call from my manager, not only because this show is amazing and filled with heart, but because I got to be a part of something created by artists I’ve admired since the buzzfeed days @quintab @katepeterman @jusatan + more. Forever grateful to them, the team, and Wendy O’Brien for bringing me on to play! Fun fact, we shot this a day before my birthday, and Wendy and her team blessed me with another birthday present back in 2016 with my first aired co-star on You’re The Worst! 🙏🙏🥳😆

I’m quite terrible at social media. Then I saw Cloud and team do their thing at Cloudfest and realized that art is not meant for judgment (especially from self) but for sharing. So here’s me trying to be more conscious about not letting things gather dust on the shelves. January ‘26. I’ve been alive! Thank you @danielcloudcampos @carrmelisaa @krystalellsworth @geraldnonadoez and everyone involved in that amazing screening.

This scene was one line in the script. @carlosramzeyramirez took what was an under-thought, throwaway joke and made one of the liveliest and electrifying scenes in the movie. @byronscottadams and @introducingdeyo brought the jam to life with a perfect sense of “let’s keep the groove and see what happens.” The result is a true head banger original. It was an absolute pleasure getting to play along with @situationist__ & @robmcelhenney on Mythic Quest; even moreso when the legendary @cowboycerrone shows up and you get to walk away with your body intact. Seriously though I was so happy working with everyone here. They beat me up real good... and it was my absolute pleasure. I remember reading the first episode of The Pitt and seeing the depiction of an actual ward, Filipina nurses and doctors and all the dynamics that come with it, & being filled with this excitement. Being able to watch this wonderful cast & crew work was such a blessing. Thank you to @cathysandrich , @ericabrgr & @sethcaskey for giving us the opportunity to play. I appreciate y'all so much for helping create such an honest depiction of this place through casting. @imitation.of.life Thom I'm not only a fan of your amazing work but also the fun conversations we had those mornings getting made up in your chair, thanks for being so awesome. And that leg pull shot was naaaaaasttyy! 😂 To all the sound dept peoples, Von, Javier, Cristina & Yervant, thank you for sharing some of your knowledge with me and chopping up sound! It's fun being able to geek out and observe pro techniques. @actuallylewieb it was so so great coming from doing sound on your short films to getting to work with you as actors on set! It's always great when worlds can collide like this! @zaviehharrell you are such a joy to watch work and are so multi-faceted & skillful. I can't wait to hopefully work with you more and see your meteoric rise! @shabazeez thanks for being dope and teaching me that I would not last a day with Australian sarcasm because I am way too gullible. 😆 And all the departments from coast to coast on this thing, it reeeeaaallly takes a village and what all of you have brought and built to work together and make this huge project a reality is nothing short of amazing. Lastly, @amielynn.abellera @isacamillebriones & @gutsnglam , I'm so proud of what you're doing and it truly was an honor to briefly work with y'all! Very late to post, but I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work on Matlock. This one was special, the original Matlock with Andy Griffith was one of my Lola's favorite shows while I was growing up. I hope I was able to make her proud up there. What made this even more special was being able to work with the freaking awesomely skillful @marie_jamora !! It was a pleasure to be in a scene alongside #SamAnderson while being directed by a fellow Pilipino! 🇵🇭 Thank you to @bettymaecasting and everyone involved for giving me a shot to finally be a computer store genius, 15 or so years after interviewing to be one! 😂 #MaryVernieu #MichelleWadeByrd #SamanthaRood #WandaNdlovu Samantha. Quick shout out to you, thank you for seeing something in me for Lucifer and now this. I appreciate you more than you know, thank you! You know I gotta thank @stuartrogersstudios and all you amazing friends in class for holding an amazing space to train and keep finding more honesty & vulnerability in everything. I love geeking out about this stuff with a bunch of you lovelies! Y'all constantly inspire me with the work you put up and even moreso with how great of peoples you all are. (Also catch @justalittleklc in episode 10 of Matlock in the same season!) And of course thank you @me2management ! 15 years or so strong?! Your constant support and advice on top of that, knowing I could push for more especially with the way my status quo lies. I gotta be doing more and keep pushing, breaking bad habits and all, so thank you for sticking through with me this whole time! Onward and upward! Then probably a little downward, upward, maybe a few shifts to the side, but then most definitely upward again because that's life! 💜
