The clarity that lead me to the writing of this manifesto has been years in the making. From deconstructing my own internalized oppressions to advocating for a more humane world, this is the blueprint to keep me grounded in reality while attempting to translate this hard-won clarity into ethical, practical work.
I call it Intersectional Radical Humanism.
It sits at the foundation of my counselling and advocacy work.

It’s with great pleasure and a lot of excitement that I’m announcing my very first in-person Intersectional Mind-Body Workshop taking place this Sunday in “The Old House” of Kunsthal Gent in collaboration with the amazing @shift.gent team in the context of @queermarchghent !
What to expect:
We will be introducing intersectionality theory and using the intersectionality wheel as a tool to, first, reflect about our own privileges and oppressions linked to our social identities and, second, how these specific oppressions/privileges have impacted our relation to stress and the so-called “window of tolerance”.
Through guided embodied practices rooted in self-compassion, we’ll invite you to track bodily sensations related to how certain privileges or oppressions cause us to expand or contract, and identify the spots in our bodies where we carry the weight of the system.
The goal is to invite and make space for somatic self-discovery, curiosity, and radical self-compassion — moving away from “What’s wrong with me?” or “Why can’t I handle this?” toward a more somatic understanding of how our stress tolerance changes according to context and how we can soften the places where we’ve had to armor up.

Many thanks to @queermarchghent for this opportunity 🥰

Daarom creëren we een plek waar je in een ontspannen sfeer queer zorgverleners kan ontmoeten.

While Western psychology fuels the social media debate, it spectacularly fails to address a root cause of youth’s mental health crisis: social injustice

💥 Welcome to Intersectionally Psyched!
Or, what happens when a disillusioned psychologist meets social justice and embraces intersectionality, guided by radical humanism.
After 12 years of studying psychology, my painful realization is: much of Western psychology does more harm than good because it works *for* the oppressor instead of working *with* the oppressed.
Here (and in my private practice INTERSECT Psych Services, website coming soon stay tuned!) I’m creating a different kind of psychology - one that is intersectional, inclusive, abolitionist, transfeminist, and actively fights systems of oppression while promoting individual resilience for collective liberation.
Don’t know what any of these words mean? Don’t worry, I got you too. Stick around and we’ll unpack it all.
