The Internet changes lives—but only when people can access it, trust it, and use it safely.
Our 2026 Action Plan builds on the progress we made in 2025 and charts the next phase of our journey toward an Internet for everyone.
Together, our global community of members, chapters, and partners is connecting people, defending the open Internet, and empowering the next generation of Internet champions.

The Internet means so many different things to so many different people. But above all, it is a global tool of opportunity and connection.
That’s why we at the Internet Society work to promote and defend this crucial resource. Donate today at the link in our bio to help us achieve our goal of an Internet for everyone.
People everywhere deserve an Internet experience that is safe, secure, and protects them online.
In 2025, we prioritized targeted grants, training, and advocacy to amplify the knowledge and resources of our global community, enabling people and communities to navigate the Internet safely.
Everyone deserves affordable, reliable, and resilient Internet access. That’s why, in 2025, we supported connectivity initiatives, helped people build their connectivity skillset, and focused our efforts on community-centered connectivity. 🛜

International Girls in ICT Day 👧🏻
👩🏽💻Today, we aren’t just celebrating girls who use technology. We are celebrating the girls who are shaping the digital future.
At the Internet Society Foundation, we believe the Internet is for everyone. We are committed to a world where Internet access is affordable, reliable, and resilient.
Beyond bridging the digital divide, we want to create lasting digital inclusion. When we provide girls with the resources to innovate, they unlock the full potential of the next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers.
👉🏾The Digitruck Salone is an example of how our grantees are using the Internet to empower girls. This project, implemented by @closethegapint and @media_mattersforwomen , brings digital skills to girls in remote communities in Sierra Leone through a mobile classroom.
🌍 Together, we’re building a future where every girl has the power to connect, the skills to thrive, and the opportunity to lead.
