Huge thank you to everyone who came down to see the set on Friday. After developing this project overseas, feels really nice to bring it home. The warm reception meant a lot. Today marks a month since the closing of @altarspace.info . During its inaugural season, this unique basement venue was host to ambient listening nights, fashion shows, experimental electronics, parties, theatre works… the list goes on. I was lucky enough to perform here twice during the month-long season: once at a bonkers 24-hour multi-venue party I helped organise (with @gi._.__ @nae.sean.aes and @niph.ophila ), and once for the closing party. It was a challenge to create and perform two entirely different live sets for each event (and over consecutive weekends) but testing a range of different sounds in this space was really fun, and I’m grateful to everyone who came, listened, danced. All of this could only happen thanks to the hard work, enthusiasm, vision and energy of @___ohmi___ @speculative.hybridity @calumkenihan and @joli.boardman . The dynamic lighting fitout and immersive spatial sound made experiencing music here so exciting and unlike anywhere else in this city. Thanks for making something magic happen, I’m grateful I got to be a part of the story. ⚭

@interimm_ is the solo live-project of Naarm artist Finnian Langham. Finnian, ¼ of Naarm electronic outfit @wearepolito , has spent the better portion of the last year abroad - frequenting the iconic Den Anden Side and becoming acquainted with Copenhagen’s vibrancy whilst immersing himself in the Danish underground scene. We are very glad to present a recording of Finnian’s live-set from November 2024 at Wax Music Lounge for @amphi.music as the first release on Serendipity. This set is comprised of material written between Melbourne and Copenhagen between 2023-2024; largely inspired by Finnian’s experiences abroad, the evolution of his sound and musicality, which he has skillfully imbued into an hour of bass-fuelled hypnotic psychedelia - specifically designed for play on a well-tuned sound system. Interimm cites the following as inspiration for this work: “Woody92 at Dekmantel 23’, learning modular workflows (cardinal & eurorack), the joy of falling in love with a new city, the comfort of returning home, confusion, clarity, big sound-systems, a number of spectacular gumtrees & the friends I made along the way…” Link in bio to listen to the recording - you can find more of @interimm_ on his socials. Last Friday my first solo release ‘Orbit EP’ came out on @newschool.aus 🪐 I’m incredibly proud of these tracks, and the evolution of my sound that they represent. What began as sketches for a live set in Copenhagen last year now feel fully realised. Thanks to @ritmu_ for the support and mastering, @fraseralexander.music for the excellent remix, and @lilsilsol for incredible artwork. Amphi would love to invite you to Wax Music Lounge on November 29 for a night featuring the Australian debut live performance by Interimm (Finnian Langham), alongside one of Naarm’s favourite DJ’s, Bex. Amphi and Mo will be supporting and kicking things off with a fun B2B.   Our purpose is to create a journey for you from start to finish, displaying two of our city’s most creative music brains and putting them on full display in the basement – @waxmusiclounge – with one of the best sound systems in town and such a high standard of talent, we cannot wait for this one.   We aim to make the night financially accessible by keeping our tickets at $15. The money will be going towards supporting these incredible artists and well as supporting an amazing venue run by people who have invested so much into making Naarm’s music scene what is today. So so so excited to be performing at the open decks at Den Anden Ende (@den_anden_side_cph ) this weekend. This club has been such an important part of my time here in Copenhagen, means a lot to have the opportunity to share my music within these walls. Playing an all new live set, hopefully see you ⚭ there
