My first @cafawards I walked in not knowing what to expect, and walked out reminded of why I love this industry.
So grateful to the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards and @vickymilner6 for having me. Being in the same space as creatives like @izzipoopi and @cocorocha , and even a few minutes with leaders like @joannafox and @deidremarinelli , I’m still processing how lucky I am to be in this community 🙏
Congrats to all the winners and honourees, and thank you to everyone I got to meet, and to those I didn’t get to yet, hopefully soon.

“NOT QUITE GONE” - LBCC SS26
Esteban is taking apart the three-meter-tall wheel totem he built. Fedya, the DP, is dragging the light stands. Every step, he sinks up to his knees in the mud while the tide swallows the island where we had the great idea to shoot the final scene of the project. We haul everything in the canoe for our last trip to shore.
