Lately, I have been thinking about how the world is turning to African artists for originality, depth, and cultural memory. From auction houses in London to art fairs in Miami, African names and prices are rising but ownership is not rising at the same pace.
If we do not build strong galleries, serious museums, top curators, deep-pocket collectors, and art enthusiasts on the continent, we will watch the intellectual property, management, and ownership of our talents and their multimillion-dollar works travel. We will celebrate headlines while contracts are signed elsewhere. We will clap for multimillion-dollar sales that are structured outside our legal, financial, and institutional ecosystems.
However, I am very proud of the work my big brother @azubogu and sister Valentina, with her two sons Kwame and Kobi Mintah of @efiegallery , arguably the only contemporary art gallery in the UAE specializing in the representation and advancement of artists of African origin.
I am also happy to always do my best to serve as a bridge or connector, bringing these great minds together to champion the progress we want to see in the art world.
Acta non verba.
Proud moment seeing our work air on CNN as the official TVCs for Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2026.
At Streamline360, this year’s theme felt spot on. SMEs, women, and youth are central to making Africa’s single market work. Glad we got to tell that story properly.
If you’re around, feel free to stop our booth booth, say hi and experience @streamline360 firsthand.
Honoured to have been part of the team behind the Africa Political Parties Summit (APPS) 2025. A moment that continues to shape how Africa tells its own story of leadership, inclusion, and change.
Still grateful for the opportunity to work at the intersection of policy, culture, and the creative arts to elevate the voices of youth and women in shaping Africa’s future. The work remains as urgent and relevant today as it was on day one.
Deep appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama, his Vice Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and the Government of Ghana for hosting the maiden edition of this historic summit.
What is the Africa we want?
Sometime in July, I had the honour of working on the Malabo Leadership Breakfast Meeting for the Gov't of #EquatorialGuinea and the @africaprosperitynetwork , held on the sidelines of the @africanunion_official Mid-Year Coordination Meeting.
It was humbling to be in the room with numerous Heads of State and private sector leaders across Africa engaging on how to accelerate economic policies by Africa, for Africa.
I’m thankful to be doing my quota by leading teams to craft positive stories for Governments and orgs.
My personal highlight? Sharing a roof with Mama Africa herself, the indomitable Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma (Google her!). Hearing her stories about working with Nelson Mandela, her iconic “Letter to Kwame Nkrumah,” shaping the African Union, and coining the term “The Africa We Want” was overwhelming... and deeply fulfilling.
If I could go back in time, I’d tell my younger self:
Hey child, your dreams are valid. Keep believing. Brick by brick, keep building

Earlier this year, I had the unique opportunity to interview President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali of Guyana during the Africa Prosperity Champions Awards and Gala Dinner. Our conversation was profoundly insightful, highlighting the interconnected prosperity of Africa and the Caribbean. Amongst other things, Dr. Ali emphasized the critical need to develop our human skills and capacities while boldly embracing the future amidst the digital revolution.
Here are excerpts of the videos.
