Optikinetics Picture Wheel “Inner Space” by Jenny Cauldwell is such a sweet piece of illustrative work - it looks as though Sonia Delaunay may have been an inspiration. A lovely piece of work that stands the test of time.
‘Lark’ five years on. This project was commissioned by LB Waltham Forest and was installed during lock down in 2020. It’s a busy throughway at certain times of the day and this underpass was depressed and depressing. It’s got its own personality now, and a place where people listen out for bird song or watch out for a colour shift. What was interesting, five years on, is that people were talking about it with each other as they were to-ing and fro-ing. Making journeys a little more playful.
Some love for our partner who are blessing us with some exquisite equipment for this week’s TRC festival (info in our bio).
Slide 1: a big stack of audiophile speakers from @audiogold we set up yesterday.
Slide 2 : our last party lit up entirely out of projectors from @insightlighting .
And keep sliding for a glimpse of their dreamy shops .
Every time we set up events from scratch we have the pleasure of visiting their shops/ sanctuaries.
As well as the warmest welcome and quality banter, they always bless us with an expertise that always have us in awe of their work.
These guys are doing it for the right reasons: the love of the craft and the joy of sharing it with people.
If you are curious about vintage analogue sound and lights we highly recommend you go pay them a visit and have a chat with them!
Much love to them!

What a joy to be invited by @basket.of.light to create 35mm projections for Daylight Savings at Hackney Baths. #analog #35mmslides #dataton #insightlighting
The 35mm slide archive came alive last weekend as our DFM (dance floor mix) carousels transformed Hackney baths with immersive colour and texture for Basket of Light. @basket.of.light
