Today was a day to remember in New Cuyo for our corporate volunteers 🇵🇭
As our first corporate trip in the Philippines comes to an end, we spent the day celebrating the dedication of a brand new playground for the local students. After a meaningful ceremony and sharing a delicious meal together, our volunteers headed straight to the playground.
From playing a friendly game of basketball to watching the students laugh and play on the swings, seesaw, and slide, it was a powerful reminder of why we do this work.
A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters who made this possible, we couldn’t have done this without you.
Our first corporate trip to the Philippines was a success, and we can’t wait to continue our impact in Palawan and support even more communities in the future.

Today was a big milestone for our corporate volunteers as they wrapped up the final stages of construction—putting the finishing touches on the playgrounds that will soon serve the community for years to come.
Beyond the worksite, our participants stepped into the classroom, leading engaging lessons and connecting with local students in a meaningful way. It was a day filled with shared learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Progress being made in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Our corporate volunteers have been hard at work—mixing concrete and building playgrounds that will soon become spaces for learning, growth, and joy.
Beyond the build site, our team had the opportunity to take part in shadow visits, stepping into daily life alongside community members. From feeding animals and opening fresh coconuts to digging for clams and helping with household chores, these shared experiences created meaningful connections that go far beyond the work itself.
To thank the families for their warmth and hospitality, our volunteers gifted small tokens of appreciation to those who graciously welcomed them into their homes.

Last Day in the Community 🇬🇹
Our corporate volunteers came together with the community to celebrate the completion of two new classrooms and a playground. They were welcomed in a special way, each volunteer greeted by a student holding a poster with their name, a moment that meant so much to everyone involved.
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt speeches, beautiful cultural dances, and shared activities before the official ribbon cutting for the new classrooms and playground. While it was hard to say goodbye, our volunteers left feeling grateful for the connections made and proud to have been part of something that will make a lasting difference for students in this community.

Day 4 in Tululché 🇬🇹
Thursday was a meaningful and memorable day for our corporate team in the community. The morning began with a tree planting activity alongside community members and students, a special way to invest in the future of the school and the environment while working together.
Participants also spent time in the classrooms, leading teaching lessons and activities with local students. It was a fun and engaging opportunity to learn from one another and share time together beyond the construction site.
Back at the school, the team continued their hard work, helping complete the classroom murals and finish the cement floors — a major milestone for the project.
After a full day in the community, the group visited the vibrant Chichicastenango Market to explore local vendors and support local artisans before heading back to the hotel for dinner and time to reflect on the day together.

Day 3 in Tululché I 🇬🇹
Today our participants had the opportunity to step beyond the worksite and into the heart of the community by visiting a local family’s home and lending a hand with daily chores. From feeding animals and washing dishes to doing laundry and learning how to make tortillas by hand, it was a meaningful reminder that service is rooted in relationship.
Of course, recess is always one of the highlights of the day. Our participants loved spending time with the local students, drawing with chalk, doing face paint, sharing stickers, and jumping into games together.
Back at the construction site, the team poured batch after batch of concrete, painted classroom walls, and made exciting progress on the murals. By the end of the day, one classroom floor was fully completed and the playground is officially done!

Our corporate group showed up and showed out by mixing concrete, painting classroom walls, and sketching a mural that will soon brighten the entire school. Day 1 in Tuluché I 🇬🇹
Our group of corporate volunteers from @flywireco , @intcitizens , @followivywise , @egi_insurance , and @imginsurance have arrived safely in Guatemala.
The community of Tuluché I welcomed our volunteers with an opening welcome ceremony which brought together local families, teachers, and students.
After the welcome ceremony, our volunteers got straight to work on mixing cement, and painting walls with the local construction workers.
