What a beautiful evening for the @inpiecestogether@inpiecestogether_film movie premiere 💛 such a powerful topic to talk about and one that needs more conversation 💛 Thank you for having us we hope this film reaches far and wide and changes the tide
This week Ella, Amelia and I travelled to Sydney for the premiere of In Pieces Together. A raw, powerful and deeply important film about mental health, grief, connection and the impact suicide has on families, friends and communities.
It’s a story that felt incredibly personal for us for so many reasons and one that sparked a lot of reflection and conversation. I’ve often thought over the years about how difficult these conversations can be, especially when families are trying to protect the people they love while also navigating their own pain. What this film does so beautifully is remind us how important connection, honesty and simply showing up for each other really is.
Watching Blake Johnston and the others share their stories with such openness and vulnerability was incredibly moving, and a reminder that none of us are alone in what we carry.
And amongst the emotion and reflection, there was also so much joy in the week. Staying in Paddington, wandering the beautiful streets and terraces, spending time with the girls, catching up with Ed and Matt in their gorgeous new home and heading out on the harbour together, even if the weather decided to make a sudden change with wind and choppiness having us absolutely soaked (the video says it all 😂).
A beautiful few days filled with conversation, perspective, connection and love 🤍

What struck me the most whilst shooting In Pieces Together, was by @blakeyjohnston putting his pain on full display - random strangers started sharing their own silent struggles with mental health and the impact of suicide. All it takes is for one person to be bravely open up.
