Growing up I was never a big runner, swimming was my sport. But this year I've found myself enjoying parts of running that I never thought I would. The commitment to training for races has forced me to find calm in the moments of discomfort.

2 months ago today we set sail to one of the most remote places on earth to attempt something that most people might of considered impossible.
I remember almost 1 year ago when this idea was a dream with the hope that one day it could become possible. After countless conversations, phone calls, waiting for permits and figuring out logistics that dream became a reality. I remember almost everyday with @connor.emeny@alexander_emeny and @david_cossio we had to take a moment to appreciate how we made it to this incredible place.
Finally making the time to sift through some of the footage from this incredible trip and excited to share more with you soon.
Last fall @brendankeck_ and I were able to shoot off into the interior of BC for a couple of days and hit some epic spots right before winter settled in.

A couple weeks back I took a trip out to @pacificsands in Tofino with a group of friends. The weather was wild, surf was big and we got lucky a couple times on the weather scoring some epic sunsets and sunrises.
No matter the time of year this place has always got something to offer.
Salt kissed. Wind blown. Moments on the ocean last week in the heart of Ahousaht Territory.
Water has always felt like my element. Whether it was the ocean, a lake, or a pool, as a kid my parents could never get me out of the water. They called me a fish. Now at 32, turning 33 soon, it’s fascinating to see how much that love continues to grow.
The cold rivers keep calling my name, but lately the ocean pulls me even more. This summer alone I’ve spent nearly one full month living onboard, learning to sail, logging 325nm, and just last week I found myself on another vessel, spending time on the waters around Tofino.
I’m grateful for where this love of water keeps taking me and excited to see where it leads next, as I continue searching for the sailboat I’ll one day call home.
