A group of pro-car residents (the "Friends" of Pine & Spruce) have been flyering cars, misrepresenting the situation by acting like *many* parking spots will be sacrificed for the improvements, which is not true!
More people biking in our small center city is better for congestion, better for the environment and better for the community.
Personally, it's been really distressing that, even in my neighborhood--which would *claim* to be progressive--people are fighting tooth and nail against this small, common sense improvement.

Seattle was great! Everyone must have very strong legs with all these hills everywhere. We had a great time walking around and indulging in all the pub trans options. Here's Val approaching the last hill before getting to Discovery Park, me wrapping up some casual business in the hotel business zone, a Big Belly 3 pack featuring compost option (who knew that existed?!?), and a sexy lil hot dog wearing what I believe to be briefs.
This Friday, stop by the Salt & Pepper Shaker Show opening at @helloyowie from 6-9 pm to see these little shakers and others!

Finally all cut and bundled -- it's the cosy classic Philadelphia postcard set! These 16 postcards resurrect images from the Tichnor Brothers postcard collection. Great for sending a note to a pal!
Did you know? The Tichnor Brothers published postcards from 1908 to 1987 in the United States and were one of the country's biggest postcard manufacturers. Thousands of Tichnor Brothers postcards can be viewed online at the Boston Public Library website. I highly recommend!
