Last year, Inner Light was invited by the FRAC Lorraine for a production residency in Metz. As part of this residency, sewing workshops were funded by the FRAC, enabling participants to learn sewing techniques while collectively producing garments designed by Inner Light. The residency culminated in a public-photo-shoot-performance : Vestiaire parade. The performance was held at the Musée de la Cour d’Or an art and history museum located just across from the FRAC. The event turned the museum space into a live set, open to visitors and passersby. Most of the participants who helped create the garments also became the models, activating the pieces in a shared and joyful gesture of visibility. The photoshoot explored the presence of the living body within the museum, and questioned the museum as a scenography, as backdrop, stage, narrative device, and site of both fashion and encounter. Photography taken by Jules during this collective performance will be exhibited at the Musée de la Cour d’Or starting May 31st. photography @jules.jpeg styling @pdemones starring @calamity.ami @zanythenanny @aaashlove @fraclorraine @musee_lacourdor @centreculturelsuisse
