We are returning for the 3rd year to InnerGenerational’s favourite festival, @replaystorytelling ’s ReplayFest 2026! This is extra special because I have a beautiful variety of artist connections as @hanniacheng is one of my most consistent collaborators, who surprises & blows me away with their presence & voice every time we share the stage together and @janjolee , who has been the artist I have wanted to get on InnerGenerational since the beginning. They are the embodiment of multidisciplinary brilliance, whether in music, poetry, clown, acting, or arts education, you can always see and feel how they show up authentically with all their gifts. These incredible artists will bring us a performance showcase that you must see!! What an honour to have them both join me on such a special night ♥️ 🙌 🎙️ 💐 TICKET LINK IN BIO 🎟️ Through spoken word poetry, music, comedy and narrative stories, we explore the artifacts passed down through familial bloodlines, complicated silence and ancestral memory. InnerGenerational: Aligned ArtiFacts is a multidisciplinary storytelling showcase featuring Anto Chan, Janice Jo Lee and Hannia Cheng. Aligned ArtiFacts examines the emotional heirlooms we inherit; resilience, survival strategies, unspoken grief, tenderness, discipline, expectations, humour and asks… what happens when we consciously align with our healing and release what no longer serves? Blending wit, vulnerability, and lyrical depth, our showcase invites audiences into an intimate excavation of intergenerational trauma, cultural identity, and reclamation. This is storytelling as ritual.
 As revelation.
As repair. We are living relics.
 Breathing testimonies.
DNA passed down generations. Come witness what becomes possible when past, present, and future share the same stage. 🎟️ Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. 💻 This show will be live-streamed. Live-stream tickets are $20. Doors open at 8:30pm, show starts at 9pm We Acknowledge the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, and Toronto Arts Council, which support the funding we are receiving from The League of Canadian Poets.

I’m so excited to announce the beginning of AMP, Asian Men Psychotherapy, a space for those who are passionate about supporting the mental health of our Asian community. We will be starting with a 6-Week online group, from Nov. 9-Dec. 14, our first step in engaging with our communities to learn what’s needed. Through creative expression, risk-taking, and mindfulness, we aim to redefine what support can look like. We wil be exploring identity, healing, and creativity through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Expressive Art Therapy.  Participants will engage in open-hearted conversations, playful activities, and expansive reflection, with a focus on collective healing and individualized growth. From confronting stereotypes like the “model minority” and “emasculation,” to cultivating joy, laughter, and meaningful connection, this group offers a brave space for Asian male-identifying participants to reclaim agency, explore vulnerability, and feel seen. We believe healing starts with one conversation, one risk, and one act of creativity at a time.  Our group and services are offered with multiple payment options on a sliding scale. You choose rate that aligns best with your income & financial needs. If you need support, please let us know during initial intake meeting as we’d love to have you be a part of this milestone in Canadian Mental Health services for the Asian Male demographic. Info session w/ Q&A November 2, noon-1pm PST/3-4pm EST Standard $350 / Discounted $275 / Community $222 /Contributor $399 +tax We accept insurance, but please check with your personal provider. I’m the EXAT & therapist is Shehz Ali. Here is his incredible bio… With over 10 years of experience and training in ACT, IFS, EFT, DBT, TIST, and other trauma-informed approaches, Shehz helps group members heal, connect, and build skills they can use every day. Clients often describe Shehz’s style as warm, relaxed, and engaging, yet grounded in solid therapeutic frameworks. Specialization in trauma recovery and the unique experiences of Asian men. I have been blown away by his passion and dedication to serve. Building the Community We Need…Together! LINKS IN BIO!

What I mean when I say I’m “multicultural” 🤓 “Besame Mucho” is a Bolero written by Consuelo Velásquez and it’s one of my mom’s favourite songs. In fact, one of the earliest memories I have of her singing, is this song. I grew up listening to jazz, classical music and bossa nova because of her, so naturally, I decided to perform this song as a tribute on Mother’s Day, at the @inner.generation showcase. Accompanied by @kalidasunnikrishnan on🪘 Show some love in the comments if you’re feeling it! #singerlife #multicultural #bolero #mexico #besamemucho #torontomusicscene #torontomusic #torontosinger #singerofinstagram #soulmusic
