An album is a daunting thing. You need a story to tell, a sound to convey, a theme to explore - and if you're not in the right headspace, things can really stall out. Through years of both artistic and personal trials and tribulations, Josh and Bailey of British-Australian duo In:Most have built a world of futuristic soundscapes and nostalgic emotions, wrapped it into a cocoon of liquid, techy drum & bass, garage, halftime and more, and have now finally released it into the world, as the beautiful butterfly that is their sophomore long player 'Dream Sequences'. I sat down with them to discuss the entire album process, what sort of nerdy equipment was used, how the job influenced the craft and vice versa, and what personal changes needed to occur for the album to come together as it is today. Enjoy!
