Traded Saturday morning boxing for monumental and wonderful Henry Moore @kewgardens today and it was stunning. Something so contemplative and peaceful about these curving monoliths. And even with moody skies Kew was looking spectacular.
Final day in Bari: Spaghetti all’Assassina (delicious) focaccia (delicious) fun with kiwi cousins (super special) beautiful beach, crazy drumming/procession for Saint Nicolas festival and one final gelato (fondente and Saint Nicola special- double delicious)
Back to Blighty tomorrow.
Yesterday in beautiful Bari: started in winding streets, took a Christmas turn with Santa’s tomb (yes, really), ate delicious octopus and ended, as all days in Italy should, with gelato (finally!)
