Somehow climbing a ladder to hang a chandelier feels easier than responding to one more email. Our brains are not normal. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. This is where the real work lives — not in the inbox, not in the mood board, not in the planning documents that keep everything moving behind the scenes. It’s here. Hands on. In the room. Watching something that existed only as an idea on a screen become a space people actually stand inside and feel. Styled shoots are where I get to push past the brief. No parameters, no timeline pressure — just a concept taken as far as it can go. Drapery floor to ceiling, chandeliers stacked until the room barely breathes, candlelight everywhere, and a stunning cake from @ink_sweets that stopped everyone on set mid-sentence. Equestria West held all of it beautifully. I’m pretty bad at keeping up with my business page on a good day and had not realized I’ve kept all of my political thoughts on my personal page… but, I want to make sure that anyone interacting with me or my business knows where I stand. The utter lack of humanity and care that is taking place in this city by ICE agents is disgusting. It makes my blood boil and my skin crawl and all I want to do is scream into the void. I don’t understand how anyone can be okay with what is happening here. The only thing that pulls me out of the depths of sadness is seeing the way this community has come together to support one another. Whether it’s donating, patrolling, protesting, or even just hosting craft nights for people to make art and talk about how they’re feeling. I’m in complete awe of how this city has wrapped its arms around our friends, loved ones, and immigrant neighbors. No one is illegal on stolen land. Fuck ICE 🧊

✌🏻2025 — I can’t say I’ll be sad to see you go. There were definitely some really beautiful moments this year but I can’t help but feel like I struggled creatively which sucks. I have all of these whacky ideas in my head for truly fun and wild cakes but can’t ever seem to get them to come to fruition. I’m consistently frustrated with the “prettiness” of weddings, which, I recognize is not really a fair judgement for me to make. Of course people want their weddings to be beautiful and pretty! Selfishly I just want to create conversation starting cakes. Something that makes people talk and adds an element of true whimsy to your event. ✨le sigh✨ Friends, planners, etc … please bring me your goofiest clients in 2026 🙏🏼 I need a little weird back in my life. I’ve have multiple people in the last few months mention something along the lines of, “it’s crazy you don’t have more instagram followers!” which is very kind in its own weird way but honestly? I don’t think anyone understands how happy and how truly grateful I am when a couple gives me total creative freedom. Getting to showcase some of the weirder ideas in my head is always such a joy! Caitlyn and Matt’s event was inspired by Sedona sunsets and I just couldn’t get the idea of Arizona red rocks out of my brain. Thankfully they trusted me when I said “I have an idea but I don’t know how to sketch it out — it’s going to be more of a go with the flow/trust my instincts as I work situation!” What a special couple, a special event, and a special cake. Hi 👋🏻 just checking in. I’m still here— even though I’ve been quiet on the social media pages. I’m just tired! But tbh who isn’t? I’ve got a lot on my plate in the wedding world and also in my personal bubble.
