DRIFTING WITH FIRE: Alexis Ormonde’s passion for drifting transformed her life and inspired her to start the first female drifting club on the East Coast, DK Ladies League. The short centers on Alexis Ormonde, founder of the DK Ladies League, and the women who make up this growing, drifting community. Drifting with Fire is about what becomes possible when marginalized voices stop waiting to be invited and instead build something of their own. The film aims to shift perceptions of women in motorsports and other male-dominated spaces, highlighting leadership and resilience as forms of power. Both Alexis and I share the same sentiment of refusing to wait for permission to chase our dreams.
