I almost didn’t post this (due to the #toxicity of social media), but I believe it’s important to #celebrate yourself on your #birthday. Ever since I turned my 20s last year, I’ve been #reflecting on how #far I’ve come on my #personal #journey. When the first @joywave (my music band) album came out in 2015, I was only 11 years old. I know that’s hard to #believe now, but at the time it was considered #normal. The music #business has changed so much since then. I was actually one of the first #influencers to become a #singer, and now it’s almost #exclusively #influencers! Am I upset that they all #copied me? Maybe a #little bit, but the world# is a better place #because of it. People have actually listened to music since the 1990s, but they used to just #listen. Now they are #inspired. That’s a big change! I #hope this year to #Inspire each and every one of you with my #work on this account. Thank #you for joining me for #another year of #life. #Together we are making a difference. Hello to all my loyal #fans and #followers. Sorry I haven’t been posting more, I’ve been taking a #break. Social media can be such a #toxic place. Thank you for continuing to #love and #support me. Today I’d like to talk to you about something that can affect everyone: #shyness. Did you know that even someone like me, with #gazillions of fans all around the world, can be a #shyguy sometimes? I know that may be surprising to some of you, but I’m being #honest and #vulnerable. Last night I had the #pleasure of attending @buffalobills night at the @buffalosabres game alongside some of #westernNY’s other #premiere #influencers. I couldn’t help but think “will this very cool group of people accept me?”. I nervously ate two hot dogs in the corner and actually hid from the camera for part of the game (see photos). But ya know what? They did! Everyone was sooooo nice and once I trusted that I am #worth #it, I opened up and had a great time. I had no reason to be #shy! And neither do you! If you make sure that all your #collaborations in life are with #organizations that you truly #billieve in, you too can move through the world with #confidence! It was really hard to keep this one a secret, but I’m thrilled I can finally announce my latest #collab with @premium.parking . For years I’ve struggled to park my @porsche #legally. I’ve been ticketed dozens of times for parking in “no standing” zones despite not even being present! I’m not a lawyer (I’m a social media star!), and sometimes I think you need a lawyer degree or whatever to understand all those signs with the arrows (how is it MY responsibility to know what day of the week it is?). It’s not fair. But an app? I get that. With @premium.parking , I download, I enter the numbers on the sign, and I’m good to go. No math either, they just charge your card whatever they think, it’s super easy! So thanks to my friends at @premium.parking for making the FUTURE happen TODAY! First you saw me leather. Then you saw me cowboy. But for the past few days, I’ve been meditating out in Joshua Tree. It’s a beautiful place, and a trip that I highly recommend to all fellow content creators. It #changed me. Sometimes we get caught up in follower counts, brand partnerships, engagement statistics, etc. But what we should really be focused on is #connection. Connection to the Earth. Connection to the Universe. Connection to each other. And you don’t realize how important that is until it’s gone. I was shocked to open Instagram and realize I had absolutely no #connection at all in the #desert! It was terrible! That’s why I’m posting 48 hours later.
