Great meeting Eleanor Dakota and Matthew Kusper at Worthington Yards in Downtown Cleveland. I struck up a conversation with the pair and learned more about their lives in the city.
Eleanor is a vocalist originally from Dayton who is new to the area and told me she is really enjoying Cleveland so far. Matthew is also a musician, and it was great talking with him about the city, the art show they came to see, and music in general.
I asked what they had listened to most recently. Eleanor had just played āIām a Ramā by Al Green, while Matthew said his latest listen was Balloonerism by Mac Miller. I always love asking that question because it usually sends me down a rabbit hole of new music.
I also hope I successfully sold the creative duo on visiting the Main Library soon.
Iām happy to announce that Iāll be playing a solo gig Feb 7th, at Vagabond, in my home city of Dayton, Ohio šā£ļø
Iāve been living, laughing, and loving.
The trifecta!
Being in Cleveland has given me time to reflect, and Iāve found that I no longer resonate with some of my older songs.
But that doesnāt make me any less glad to share them with whoever comes to listen.
Whether youāve seen me play or not,
Iām sure youāll hear a few that you havenāt heard before.
