This absolute hero and my fairy godmother @millywelbysculpture is speaking out about the domestic abuse she suffered and raising money to help stop other women becoming tragic statistics at the hands of someone who claims to love them. 2 women a week in the UK. 137 a day worldwide. I am in awe of her. Male violence against women and girls must end. October’s @fridakahlolcomedy will also be for ActionAid. We’re so lucky that this fundraiser is not “in memory of”, and that fact stops me in my tracks. Not Milly though, go Milly go ❤️🔥.
Last episode of WE MIGHT REGRET THIS is on BBC Two tonight at 10pm and it is TENSE. Phenomenal performances all round including some brilliant banister work by @edwardbluemel . The music as always by @hapacello is particularly beautiful for the finale. (And my mum is in it in 90s home video as a young Sally Phillips if you look carefully.)
If you have not noticed after a couple of months of rabid fanaticism from me online, I love this show and loved this job. Here are a collection of mostly stolen photos of the shoot including of the studio before and after the massive fake house was built by our incredible production designer Sam Harley, and of @bedroom_activist ’s ever ready body double @jennifercastilloactresss . Our crew were amazing. The vibes on set were off the chart despite the fact it was absolutely freezing in a warehouse in winter. I can’t mentioned everyone individually because I’ll mess it up, but to paint a picture; in between takes @retro83 from the prop team would hold up a fan heater for Kyla to keep warm and I looked over once and they were singing Total Eclipse of the Heart in duet as Kyla gave a full hair whipping wind machine performance. 10/10 🤌🏻

👀SPOILERS👀: the end of We Might Regret This episode 3 is so special to all of us. We had 10 phenomenal woman bikers lead by @wreckitwren , they were the coolest and kindest people on two wheels. Gill, pictured flaunting the great patch the brilliant @sallymonster designed, is a member of the National Association of Disabled Bikers and biked down for 9 hours in the rain to take part in the scene. When @bedroom_activist came off the low-loader and was on the road and Edna the power chair was giving it her all alongside a Royal Enfield, BMWs and Harleys there was not a dry eye behind the monitor. 🦼🏍️ ❤️🔥
