We are thrilled to present our first pieces in Mexico City during art week. “Noches Áridas” marks the beginning of our collaboration with
@agoprojects , a partnership we are proud to embark on.
Born from an in-depth observation of xerophytic plants, this series of textile lighting pieces translates the resilience and adaptability of cacti into form, texture, and light. Just as these plants endure extreme conditions, storing water, reflecting heat, and breathing at night, each piece embodies their survival strategies. Spines, areoles, and stems become sculptural elements, recreating organic rhythms and vernacular textures.
Suspended without visible supports, these luminous forms evoke the absence of the molds that shaped them, casting a soft, warm glow. This project bridges traditional craftsmanship and modern technologies, celebrating the delicate balance between nature and design.
We are deeply grateful to the AGO team for their trust and support in our work. We look forward to the next steps in this journey together.
