Producer Nina Doherty finishes up with IAP today after almost four and a half years. Starting with us as Sensory Collective producer in November 2021, Nina has been a key collaborator for projects led by Kirstin Abraham, Max Alexander, Sonia Allori, Jack Hunter, Aya Kobayashi, K Biff Nicolson, Ellen Renton, Saffy Setohy, Niroshini Thambar, Joanna Young. Nina has presented work across schools, community spaces, care settings, theatres, woodlands and arts spaces. She has also been a core member of staff across huge periods of uncertainty, growth & change. We’re so grateful for all that Nina has contributed to IAP in this time and wish her the very best in her new role with Vanishing Point in Glasgow. #ArtsWorkers #ArtsInScotland #ProducersDoItAnywhere

Some bittersweet news 💛 We’re saying goodbye to one of our absolute favourites, Associate Artist Max Alexander. Since joining us in November 2021, Max has brought so much to #IAP, sharing his expertise, humour and a true love of play. After four years and four months, we’re incredibly grateful for everything he’s given. He will be deeply missed by the whole team. Thank you, Max ✨ Read about his time at IAP here 👆 (link in bio) #Arts #PlayRadical #CreativeCommunity #Gratitude 📸 @littlekatphotos

Allies in Activism * is today. Allies in Activism is a one-day event taking place in Edinburgh led by Jack Hunter, Ellen Renton and Independent Arts Projects. We very much hope that this event marks the beginning of something. This event has been made possible with support from Birds of Paradise, Eden Court Theatre, Federation of Scottish Theatre, Imaginate, Magnetic North, National Theatre of Scotland, The Work Room & Unlimited. * The title of the event came from an article in The Stage at the beginning of the year, where arts leaders were asked about the year ahead. Jenny Sealey (Graeae’s Artistic Director) was quoted “as saying: “For companies like Graeae, this past year has been fraught with Personal Independent Payments, Access to Work and Universal Credit. We need more allies in our activism. 2026 needs to be all-embracing to ensure the theatrical landscape is rich with diversity of people and narratives.“ IAP gratefully acknowledge support from @creativescots

Another fantastic review... this time for @jack_hunter95 's #oneoftwo 👏 “...a thoroughly entertaining, utterly compelling piece of theatre and the perfect illustration that there is an appetite and audience for stories that don’t tread the ‘regular’ path.” Thank you to @glasgowtheatreblog1 ! 📸 @littlekatphotos
