I wanted to share a handful of my favorite portraits from over the years. For me, these all carry an essence of the person. I can hear their voices, feel their temperament. Capturing visuals that evoke a feeling, a thought, has always been a goal of mine. And I'm eager to lean more and more into finding what makes a photo speak.

2024, it's been a ride. It's been a polarizing year of highest of highs and lowest of lows. My great 4 year van adventure came to a close in a place I thought I was going to call home. And, in a matter of days, that whole plan was erased by a less than convenient truck fire, which took a majority of my belongings with it and my future plans too. My attitude and outlook quickly took a dive. Truthfully, I'm still working my way out of it a little. But, what makes New Year's Eve great is being able to look closer at the year through a clearer scope. This unexpected event lead me to reconnecting with old paths. Ive been able to be closer to my family, old friends, and place I called home so long ago. I've met new people who have kept me laughing, and that adventurous spirit in me alive; and shoulders to lean on when I start feeling down again. You look back and, hopefully, the purpose of it all becomes clearer. I am lucky to have met some of the most outstanding people during my time away from Maine, and I hope to see them again soon. I am optimistic for the year ahead. One that's full of friendship and family, creativity and expression, travels and home-building. Wishing you the greatest New Year. I hope to see you all down the road. #newyear #2025

Over the last month and some, I have had the true pleasure of collaborating with @catbirdmainstreet and @bill_gearin . They both are seriously talented in their own right and emit a creative energy that is contagious. Their heart is truly the foundation of their creations. Thank you both for letting me share in these moments, inspiring me, and bearing with me as I get “one more shot.” Looking forward to making more art with you all in 2026! #creators #mainephotographer

The Way Life Should Be Nothing quite like a crisp Maine evening at the beach to watch the day come to a close. Also, rooting big time for our @hearts_sc in this coming weekend’s semi-final playoff game in Spokane 🫡

Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight has been one of those songs that always hurts my heart listening to. A potent mix of feelings like nostalgia, loss, hopefulness, wanting, all wrap themselves together in my chest, leaving me sitting there quietly (most times teary-eyed) listening. With that, I have always wanted to put together a video for the song, but it’s never been a clear path to what to create; because what can I possibly show that could properly visualize those kind of feelings. And so, I went in a deep dive through the video archives. It was during this rediscovery of videos long forgotten, and some favorites too, I found that the feelings I had watching some of these clips almost mirrored those I felt listening to the song. Although I believe I could recreate this video a hundred different ways, I know all of these shots I chose in my video captured a moment where I felt very human. Moments where I was get amazed and yet very small, moments where I felt alone, moments where I saw unexplainable beauty, moments where I felt lost but hopeful, moments where I felt truly loved. And I think these moments, accompanied by this song, has created perhaps the closest art piece Ive made to capturing my own, honest, experience here in this world.
