š Today, iMentor rang the @nasdaq Opening Bell!
Mentorship opens doors to trusted relationships, expanded networks, and guidance through college and career pathways - especially for young people navigating an increasingly complex world.
For more than 25 years, iMentor has helped make those connections real. Now, we're committing to an even bolder vision: opening one million doors through mentorship for Gen Z by 2035.
Thank you to Nasdaq for helping us spotlight the power of mentorship, and to the mentors and young people who show up every day! š

As iMentor Chicago begins its anniversary year, weāre reflecting on what this city has already made possibleā¦
and imagining what the next decade could look like with even more Chicagoans in the movement.
Mentors, schools, alumni, and partners have helped students navigate college, career, and everything in between.
Will you help write the next chapter?
Because when Chicago shows up, we can #OpenDoors and #IgnitePossibility.

š¤This month, we had the pleasure of hosting a virtual fireside chat and speed networking event with Insulet Corporation to explore the idea of building connections that count ā and how we can open doors through networking.
We welcomed over 50 participants to learn from Insuletās own Lucas Escobar about the importance of networking to find opportunities that you may not have known existed.
In Lucasā thoughtful segment, he mentioned that networking was key to him finding the right role and wants to pay forward these learnings to the next generation. Overall, the students grew confidence in their elevator pitches, improved their introductions, and made new connections with working professionals.
In one studentās words: āSeeing how a company like Insulet has vast career options and that there are so many different types of opportunities was great to explore and learn about."
We are grateful for partners like Insulet who create meaningful opportunities for our students to keep learning and growing!

š We recently had the privilege of welcoming volunteers into @infotech.hs and @base10x264 to facilitate Time Management Workshops for 10th and 12th graders!
We are so grateful for the space these volunteers held for students as they curiously asked questions and learned about how to succeed in the workplace.
Partnerships like these give us the opportunity to continue opening doors for young people - and see that ripple effect become a global mentorship movement.
Thank you again to all of the volunteers who took the time to come out!

ā Mentorship, explained.
Some conversations are serious. Some are simple check-ins. What matters most is building trust through consistency and care!
How would you show up for your mentee?

ā On April 24th, @ey_us hosted iMentor students at their NYC office for their biannual giveback day: EY Connect Day!
With a cohort of EY staff members volunteering for the event, the students were able to experience several amazing activities:
ā”ļøListened to some words from Anita Bafna - an iMentor NYC Advisory Board member and current mentor - about her career journey and EY's Model.
ā”ļøWorked in groups to identify and solve issues facing their NYC communities during a sustainability challenge activity; then, presented their ideas to the audience.
ā”ļøEngaged in career conversations with the volunteers and toured the EY office to see what a career in their industry could be like, then took free professional headshots at a photo booth.
We thank EY for the leadership and collaboration here in making this day so special for our students!
šThereās no one way to show up! Some people have time, resources, or networks they can open up. All of it matters.
If youāve been following along this month and wondering what your role could be, this is your moment to choose one.
Start with what you have - take one step to open doors and ignite possibility for young people today!
