As an observer and seeing the social issues within our world I wanted to highlight how many of us have experienced the hustle and survival mode mindset. How demoralizing and disconnecting we may feel from our natural state of being. “I feel the world is becoming more and more dystopian”. I picked my location as the train station being nearly about 500,000 people pass within just a day.
My work revolves around creating worlds and stories that can be fictional and poetic. Diving into the depths of philosophy, psychology, and politics as my way of expressing the oppression many of us go through. Focusing on just an individuals day to day basis and how their struggle is all unique to their own experience. I felt impelled to add lights to create a sense of dissociation between the subject and location.
