Moment 09: The Build Some projects become defining moments. Not just because of their scale, but because they reveal exactly who you are under pressure. The Sky Glass launch marked the beginning of our relationship with @incaevent and was the biggest event in Sky’s history since launching in 1989. The opportunity came through a recommendation from our long-standing friend and much-respected industry figure, Mark Connolly, an introduction that would help shape the next chapter of the iMAG story. The challenge? Twelve 2.8mm LED surfaces arranged on a fully automated 360-degree tracking system, engineered to open and close dynamically within a live broadcast environment. We developed a bespoke electromagnetic cone and cup alignment system to ensure a seamless join every single time. The entire show ran in 10-bit HDR, at a time when this was still cutting-edge territory for live production. Powered by @bromptontech Hydra calibration and @disguise_one GX 2c servers, the result was seriously impressive. Alongside it, we simultaneously delivered Google’s Executive Summit at Soho Farmhouse. Same standards. No compromise. The Sky Glass project received industry recognition, but more importantly, it marked the start of one of our most valued long-term client relationships. Moment 02: The Team As the business began to take shape, the first team members joined. Ali and Kev were among them, and they remain part of the journey today. That continuity says everything about the culture that was being built from the outset. This was never about hiring quickly. It was about finding the right people. Supporting @oboglobal on PUMA’s The NITRO™ Lab at the London Marathon weekend was exactly the kind of project we love: technically demanding, creatively ambitious, and built around real audience experience.

Taking over @icalondon on The Mall, the four-day activation brought together live customisation, a 1K treadmill challenge, and an innovation hall showcasing PUMA’s latest NITRO™ technology - a hub for performance, community, and the brand’s running culture.

The visual identity was built around multiple LED solutions working in combination. A 6m x 3m centrepiece screen, built using our @roevisual Topaz 1.9mm with @bromptontech Tessera SX40 processing, anchored the main space with sharp, high-impact imagery. Vanish 8 created a dynamic overhead ceiling feature above the treadmill area, adding movement and energy where it mattered most. We also supplied a range of screens, including touchscreen integration, plus a PTZ package using our new Panasonic AW-UE150AKEs.

Great to be involved in such an immersive and visually driven brand experience alongside OBO and PUMA.

Moment 08 | The Pivot In March 2020, iMAG’s team were in Geneva, putting the finishing touches on one of the most technically complex LED installations they had ever delivered. A concave and convex wave screen for Bentley at the Geneva Motor Show. When the show was closed due to COVID-19, it marked the beginning of a chapter that would shape the business in ways nobody had anticipated. What followed was not just a pivot. It was the moment virtual production became a core part of what iMAG delivers. A connection made months earlier with Chris Musselwhite at @treehousedigital , a true visionary who had been exploring what virtual production could look like, proved to be the catalyst. The @roevisual Black Pearl 2V2 panels and @disguise_one servers, added to our inventory just months before, were exactly what was needed. Landmark productions for Netflix, Sky Cinema, and Amazon followed. The team was retained in full throughout. Not one redundancy. Moment 07: The Evolution The evolution of iMAG has always been shaped by the right people at the right time.  We’d been delivering large-scale productions at some of the UK’s most iconic venues when a chance meeting changed the company’s trajectory. David Voyce and Dan Gray, connected to iMAG through a mutual relationship, brought a depth of expertise in video processing and camera systems that perfectly complemented our strengths in LED. It reinforced something we already believed: there was space in the market for a 360-degree visual partner built not just on technical capability, but on the values that have always shaped iMAG: partnership, precision, and a genuinely collaborative approach. In 2018, @graymattervideo was created as a division of iMAG. It brought its own identity and specialism, but remained woven into our DNA. Moment 06: The Awards There is a particular kind of validation that comes not from a client brief or a revenue milestone, but from the industry itself, beginning to take notice. For us, that recognition arrived through awards across both the festival and exhibition sectors. A reflection not of a single moment, but of the range and consistency of what the team had been delivering over time. By this point, iMAG had already proven it could operate on a global stage. The work spoke for itself. The recognition simply followed. And while awards were never the objective, they carried weight. Not as a measure of success, but as a signal.  They brought visibility, opened conversations, and helped position us within a wider industry context. Moment 05: The Call

Some calls change everything. For us, that call came after months of patient, persistent relationship-building, with Charli targeting a prestigious design agency one conversation at a time, until the moment it mattered.

When it did, the brief that landed was extraordinary. A major opportunity at Mobile World Congress, one of the most significant global stages in the industry. A high-profile stand, a globally recognised brand, and a production that needed to perform flawlessly in front of the world’s technology press.

The impact was immediate. It shifted how we were perceived, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-stakes projects on a truly global stage. From there, a strong ongoing relationship with the client followed.

More than that, it clarified something essential about who we are. The kind of clients we are built to serve. Large brands. Ambitious agencies. Complex briefs.

Back at the NEC and back with the brilliant team at KGM 🙌 We were delighted to support KGM once again at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026, delivering a clean, high-impact exhibition presence for one of their most important industry events. For this build, we delivered a crisp, high-resolution LED screen using ROE Ruby 2.6mm panels, powered by Brompton Tessera SX40 4K processing. The result was seamless, vibrant visuals designed to draw attention and keep audiences engaged. Finished with bespoke screen surrounds for a polished, integrated look. Moment 04: The Warehouse

Around a year and a half after founding, we made our first move into physical premises. It was a small warehouse, compact and shared with a neighbouring lighting company, but far more significant than its size suggested.

For a business built on two people making cold calls and willing a company into existence through sheer determination, having a space — a real, tangible location where work could be done, kit could be stored, and a team could begin to take shape — marked a genuine turning point.

In time, iMAG would move to a facility ten times the size. Today, we operate across multiple locations, including our HQ in Poole, Biggleswade and Pinewood Studios. But every journey starts somewhere. Ours started in four walls that held considerably more ambition than we had square footage!

We can’t believe it’s been a week since James brought their Love is the Answer tour to the O2 Arena, London. From an intimate kitchen table lunch to a relaxed lounge screening, every detail was designed to feel personal, authentic, and completely true to the moment.
