✨🏜️ M O O N • V A L L E Y 🏜️✨ Y’all. I’m still in awe I hosted my first solo exhibition. 🤯 I am legit happy with how everything went. From the start, my intentions with this show was to introduce myself as an artist. It was about breaking away from perfectionism, shedding unrealistic expectations, and finding my creative voice through the process. I found breakthrough by giving myself permission to just have fun! And I wanted to share that with everyone else. I wanted people to come out, grab some bites, drink, meet new folks, and vibe out over the art + music. I was very intentional about every aspect of the exhibition and it was well received by the community! A little over 150 of you all attended throughout the night—most of which I’ve never met before. 🥲 I’m still receiving so many compliments about how @iamdjladylocs did such an amazing job adding to the vibes with the music. 🤌🏾✨ And @primevuestudio did a great job capturing SO many highlights from the night. It was too many to fit into one post. 🥲 Moon Valley is 1 out of 5 series God has given me over the span of a 10+ year period and I’ve been documenting the visions as I receive them. Yall, there’s SO much to share….and do…and I’m SO excited I get to continue this work. My heart is full and I’m really grateful God trusted me with such a beautiful gift to share with others. I am SO elated to share my newest mural featured on the Indianapolis Arts Garden for AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025! Creating a mural for the Arts Garden is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, so my heart is full! The other day I upgraded one of my favorite paintings and got it framed. This is the first time I framed my work and I absolutely LOVE IT! I also loved the process of selecting the final frame. I’m a believer now and can’t wait to see the rest of my work transform with this type of enhancement. It took a minute to get here because framing is NOT cheap, but it is SO worth the investment. Grace That Waters Dry Land (2024) 24in x 24in Oil on canvas Well, I have a few things to share... • One, I’ve been gone from this space way too long. • Two, this post is me showing up authentically. I wanted to wait for the right moment to share new work I’ve been sitting on. Truth is, I’ve been in an extremely vulnerable place sharing online and waiting for the projects to be perfect enough to see the light of day. At that rate, I’ll be waiting forever. The time is now. ✨Progress of a new study. ✨ I made it into the studio last night and it felt SO good to be back. I started working on this study a while back, but didn’t touch it for 4 months (slide 5) due to my demanding schedule. I’m glad I made time because my soul needed it. 🔹✨ INDIANA LEGENDS ✨🔹 Last weekend at Bicentennial Unity Plaza, we unveiled the completed mural to celebrate 43 legendary Hoosiers. It was a great honor to serve as an apprentice on this project. This mural was personal for me. I grew up knowing two legends: Congresswoman Julia Carson & Father Boniface Hardin. Art is always something I give as an expression of love and gratitude.
