Some stills and a snippet from I Love the Land Back, a cinematic love letter to and reckoning with the stolen ground beneath our feet. An intertwining of Indigenous and South Asian understandings of gratitude, art, and groundedness in land, this poem is a piece of reverence, of deep kinship, a prayer for forgiveness, and a promise to see this responsibility to the soil we live upon as a profound act of reciprocal love. always.
This project was made possible by Guild Festival Theatre's Youth Engagement Scarborough Initiative.
