Happy Mothers Day to @je.suis.loren She’s been an amazing Mother to our Child. Even now when I’m sick on Mother’s Day she is holding it down. This is a core memory now from when we went to Costa Rica. We visited La Fortuna Falls but again I was sick lol. I pushed through and we really enjoyed ourselves. The next day I was on a hospital bed thinking I may need surgery. Loren was patient and by my side the whole time. We made it back in one piece, I still can’t believe how fortunate I am. Everyday I’m encouraged by her to be a better man.

My 2 Cents on this deeply held relief on interracial adoption. KIDS DON’T GET TO PICK. We didn’t pick the situation, we didn’t pick to be put up for adoption, we didn’t pick our adoptive family, etc. In order to adopt a child you have to go through a vigorous adoption process. I’d say it actually takes more energy (other than birth) than actually having your own. As a birthed child your parents do not have to prove they have an adequate home for you. Many children go unadopted and guess who gets the least adopted? Black and brown children. So I was a lucky one. No my white mother didn’t always get it right but she did love me. Please don’t push this idea that people cannot adopt children because they’re not of the same culture or race. People need to be more solution based in their thinking of this situation. If you care about this but don’t want to adopt a child I think a great solution could be cultural coaching and awareness. I think it would be great if black/brown communities offered more resources for adopted children and parents to learn from. Create that cultural bridge with open arms. Reach out to the adoption agencies. Have an adopted kid as a “little” to show them the ropes of what their roots are. It’s one luxury an adopted black child from America has that I never could have had, their culture is right in their backyard. I could never considering I was born in Peru and still have never visited. A much more expensive endeavor than going over to a black American community. So please pause your judgements on interracial Adopted families. Us adopted kids really feel like a fish out of water and are just trying to figure out the world. Even tho the funny part about all of this was the kid in this video wasn’t even adopted. Still the sentiment exists. #Adopted #peruvian

Ever since I grabbed this @inovativ work cart I can’t look back. Having it double as a cart and light stand for a mobile interview situation has been amazing. When I’m not flying I put the Solix battery on the bottom and can power multiple lights for hours. What do you guys think? Do you have a cart yet or no? What are you looking at? I was fortunate and got this one used. @thisisangles @narigarner

When doing interviews my idea is less is more. I feel after doing maybe thousands of them I’ve learned depending on the situation you don’t always have to do a million things. Especially when it’s a 2 person crew. Let me know what you think. We set this up in 45 minutes cameras and lights. @reddigitalcinema @zeisscameralenses #redkomodo #detroit #commercialfilm
