When placemaking, cultural heritage and social value come together ⭐ We are excited to share that we have been selected to lead the transformation of Neepsend, breathing new life into one of Sheffield’s historic industrial districts. We’ll be working alongside Sheffield City Council and Homes England to deliver 430 new homes, including affordable and later‑living options, bringing our proven Footprint approach to sustainable, people‑centred placemaking. These homes will be part of a wider vision to create two thriving urban communities at the brownfield sites. This is a landmark project for us and our first in Sheffield. We can't wait to create long‑term social value while celebrating the area’s rich heritage.

Our Pattern Shop development in Newcastle is a standout example of how heritage and regeneration can work hand in hand. We took a 200-year-old Grade II listed building and gave it a bold new chapter. With care and vision, we brought this historic space back to life - transforming it into a vibrant hub for creative and digital businesses, while honouring its rich industrial legacy. Recently, the igloo team came together in Oxford for our annual two-day team get-together - to meet face-to-face and see some of igloo’s exciting developments firsthand. 💡 We started with lunch at the Oxford Town Hall, followed by our full team meeting and a fantastic talk from special guest Tom Bridgman, Deputy Chief Executive – Place at Oxford City Council. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of Christ Church College, where igloo has proudly supported the creation of its Responsible Ownership of Property Policy. Our Development Director, John Long, also plays an integral role within its Challenge Group, helping to shape property operations. We finished the first day at Mowgli with great food, drinks, and plenty of time to catch up with colleagues from across the UK. 🍴 To wrap up we were joined by Peter Madden, advisor on our Footprint Advisory Board, and Chris Brown, our Non-Executive Director, for a tour of our Oakfield development. It was great to see how igloo is making a real difference, with tenants already moved in and benefiting from homes that foster community and wellbeing. What a fantastic few days as a team, connecting and collaborating! 🙌
