To do so our theme will match their name... did you know Lawnya Vawnya gets its name from an old Newfoundland expression meaning “To have a good time at a dance or a party with plenty to eat”?? Introducing IDDC # 13: A Good Time By The Sea. We are looking for all your best comics that remotely touch on this sentiment, vibe, location, or Lawnya Vawnya itself !!! Your comics will be risograph printed by @nothingnewprojects 🫶 🔔The deadline for submission is April 30th !🔔 Email your submissions to [email protected] before the deadline and follow the rules to be accepted! SUBMISSION RULES: 1. Submit your comic in black and white / grayscale as a .png or .pdf with a resolution of 300 dpi (we also accept pen+paper comics) 2. Final page size will be 5.5” x 8.5” with a safe area of 4.75” x 7.75” 3. Include your name, location, & Instagram (optional) in your email submission 4. For those of you that made it into the zine: shipping has started so you should be receiving your copy in the coming weeks 💌 If you’re in St. John’s and wanna pick up your copy in person from Nora, you can grab it from 10-3 any weekday at LV HQ (4 Clift’s bairds cove) 🏠📚 We WILL be selling a limited number of extra zines on bandcamp soon. More out & about extras! Todays comic is by Kathrin Kurfiss @monstersandfaeries ! 🧚 she is based in Vancouver, BC , and this is her first ever comic!!! Here’s a little about Kathrin: I’m a 3D Modeler in Animation but in my free time I love to draw and paint. I never drew a comic before and mainly create fantasy art. However I love being out and about so this challenge motivated me to make one of my adventures into a comic and it was so fun! Thanks Kathrin! 🐻
