Eindrücke vom Auftritt von IDKLANG. Ein Abend voller experimenteller Elektronik, Noise und Industrial, die den Club in eine ganz eigene Atmosphäre verwandelt haben. Das Konzert fand im Rahmen des Events Umbra in Zusammenarbeit mit den drei Kollektiven Chim.æ.ra, DEKONSTRUKT und N13 statt. Vielen Dank an alle, die dabei waren. Wrażenia z występu IDKLANG. Wieczór pełen eksperymentalnej elektroniki, noise’u i industrialu, które przekształciły klub w zupełnie wyjątkową atmosferę. To get to travel and play your music is already such a privilege and then on top of it the event is something you’d dream of and the ones involved are the most amazing and cutest people you could ever meet. broken glass trembling on a white floor shaken by a drone whispering behind that door that’s never unlocked a golden cape to hide the black hole that used to be a face high pitched voices chanting hope sound travelling from this dark city to a shiny place imagine a british beach during a rainstorm IDKLANG is the moniker of the Vienna-based musician, composer, and producer Markus Steinkellner, whose many projects also include @mermaidandseafruit Arktis/Air, Jakuzi’s Attempt, and more. Over the course of the last ten years, they’ve been performing live shows, conceptual improv sessions, and DJ sets around the world; writing music for theatre pieces and dance performances. Their performances are dark secular masses combining hypnotic chanting, meticulously deconstructed beats and drawn out dark planes with noise blasts. IDKLANG’s body of work is characterized by highly-energetic compositions that masterfully handle tension and release, oscillating between loud blasts and heartfelt, grandiose melodies. Seamlessly blending genres such as post-punk, witch house, pop or hardcore, IDKLANG crafts post-nihilist outbursts of an erratic mind. Influenced by club music as well as noise or industrial, their music ranges from accelerated, high-energy tracks to haunted drone sceneries, creating the perfect soundtrack for dystopian euphoria. 🩸𝐔𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚 — a species of flower which blooms only at night, once every 0̶͓̖̟̺̉̑̅̀0̴͕͉͉̐̆̑̃͆̚0̴̧̠͎̳̯͓̮̟̓́̀̄̃͐̒̕͜͜0̴̠̅̈̑́͝ years. In contrast to her sisters that grown in the sunlight, Umbra gains strength from the underground — feeding on its dark and shadowy frequencies. Her appearance is associated with increased levels of deconstruction, hybrid genre crossovers and a heightened sense of collectivity. 🥀As night falls on the 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 the Umbra flower will blossom once again to spread its sickly sweet fragrance into the darkness.
