For the 108th edition of the Sløt Podcast, we welcome a compelling contribution from Ice—an artist whose musical journey spans continents and contrasts. Starting out as the first to bring Drum ’n’ Bass to his hometown of Surat, India, he laid the foundations for a unique sound—nurtured in a scene with little space for underground electronic music. With time, house and breaks entered the mix, and club gigs across India expanded his vision. In late 2023, a new chapter began: a move to Berlin, where he immersed himself in the city’s intricate and ever-evolving underground culture. The shift was not instant—but through the process of exploration, contrast, and self-discovery, he carved out a sound that feels both hypnotic and emotionally charged. PDS001: Groove Hypnosis is an amalgamation of Hypnotic Tribal elements working along with groovy mesmeric bassline, picking up on soundscapes that take you to Entrancing & Shadowy realms. Started off with hints of Dark Tribal Hypnosis making its way to Proper Hard Hypnotic playing with Groovy Highs, this will transcend the listeners to a state of euphoric exploration. I am elated to release this mix with you all as it holds a peculiar sound from the underground techno scene. I recorded this mix with a specific choice of tracks from the most talented artists in the community tagged below.
