TLDR - HAPPY PRIDE 🫶🏼 Being trans is the biggest honor of my life and I got to celebrate that truth by getting top surgery on May 29. As far back as I can remember, I have never been comfortable in my body. I got a breast reduction at 19. I came out as nonbinary and changed my pronouns at 30. I initiated the top surgery process at 31. I gave up at 32 and restarted the process at 34. I finally got surgery at 35. It’s never too late to evolve and grow and get to know yourself. I am so grateful and so privileged to be able to access this care. While it feels like a long time coming, it also feels like a fresh start in so many ways. Even though it’s only been weeks, I am already feeling so much more comfortable in my body. ——— Thank you… to my trans bbs who gave advice and answered questions. to everyone who shared and donated to my GoFundMe. to everyone who’s wished me well during my initial recovery. to everyone who came to visit and brought food (mail is otw). Most of all, thank you to my mom @dconeyisland for taking care of me so well and loving me through challenging and life changing moments. I couldn’t have done this without you and I am so grateful. All of my love and gratitude to @genderconfirmationcenter who made the best of navigating a very intense and complex system and process. Your team is the kindest and I am so grateful for Dr. Mosser’s work. Thank you for changing my life.
