With 4 months left of the year, I couldn’t resist but make another one of these. But good lord if it wasn’t thanks to all the writers, directors, and crew that brought me here in the first place. I can’t put into words the gratitude I have that I get to continue shooting like this with these people alongside fashion photography.

All of you know me as a cinematographer… but my visions didn’t just spawn in out of nowhere.
My attention to detail is so inspired by artist @furio_tedeschi who is responsible for every live-action TRANSFORMERS design, as well as Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil, Pacific Rim, and lots that we all grew up loving.
First 5 slides I drew when I was 11 years old. Freehanded. 2013.
The last drawing was when I was 15.
My Mom sent some of my drawings to my 🐐 @michaelbay and that man sure knows how to deal with fan mail. So he sent me a Shockwave action figure and a TF3 hat at age 11 (and I still have both lol)
I have so many friends who lost their will to be ARTISTS due to real world problems and lemme just tell you that is about to change for a lotttttt of people. Because the world needs it now more than ever.
Only humans can be artists. Not robots. Yall know this.
Biggest thanks to @michaelbay and @furio_tedeschi for setting the standard and to everyone who let me stay an ARTIST all my life.

I’ll never forget the time this man ran into the @icparkproductions office saying “I HAVE AN IDEA AND YOU’RE GOING TO LOVE IT IAN.”
He shows me the moodboard, plays some @bubbleteaandcigarettes , and lets me read the treatment, and I just knew instantly that if I said yes, I’d be putting in reps I’ve never put in before. Scary, especially when on the brink of death thanks to caffeine everyday, but worth the risk.
Here’s a reminder that shooting something this ambitious during your days in film school is A BAD IDEA. And the best at the same time. It was the only time EVER where we could bring this to life and not have to pay top dollar for gear rentals and the people who were just as excited to help create this as we were (who I will continue to work with forever). To think that I could have just taken a chill final semester of college, but that FOMO was everything…
We were broke, inefficient, and exhausted. All day everyday. But we made DS anyways.
