beneath the bruised blue breath of heaven
I wade where weary waters wander,
in search of what realm receives the waves
once they abandon the fading horizon
what sacred meaning hides within
the ruin and resurrection?
what purpose lives in rising
only to be cast back into the depths
where even light forgets its name
tonight I linger beside she…
uncertain whether her silence is sorrow
or merely the language of inevitability…
does she too drift burdened
by the cathedral weight of former storms,
dragging the relics of forgotten tempests?
as though to rise anew, she must mourn herself
