A little while ago, the Pixel team teamed up with the incredibly talented one-man band Jordan Booker to help address the literal elephant in the room for ICON and the NWMPHN.
RAISE IT tackles stigma around alcohol and other drug use that people experience when seeking healthcare. The campaign encourages health professionals to have tricky conversations with confidence, compassion and care.
Telling those stories around heavy subjects takes care, sensitivity, and a lot of trust. Jordan brought it to life in such a cinematic and thoughtful way.
It was a beautiful project to be part of, made even better by the support and collaboration from the teams every step of the way. Proud to have played a part in it.

Well this one never went to air…so we up-cycled. This was briefed in to us as a 3D job, but we decided instead to: shoot miniature sets, then shoot life size people (and shrink them down to fit the set), and then create 3D environments in the “outside” world. Why? We’re insane, but also, because it was going to give a more unique result and we like doing things that haven’t been done to death/ever before. It tickles our creativity bone.

The greatest part of this process, was watching our slack channel go OFF as our artists had wild conversations about chicken wing mechanics and octopus eyebrows. The pure JOY that bursts out when a group of people who are VERY good at their very specific thing (rigging, simulations etc) bounce off each other's ideas, was a giant cuddle for our human souls 🥲💕Director duo - @Lumberfly

Agency Octopus brief: Octopus is our little clever clogs. Dynamic, dextrous and diligent, Octopus never puts a tentacle wrong. Octopus is super smart, but very humble and even a bit shy on occasion. Never the show off, ever patient, Octopus loves to help others just as much as it loves having it’s Super in order. Octopus especially loves to help his aloof little buddy ‘Chicken’ at any opportunity.

What an absolute PLEASURE it was to work on this character piece🐔🐙. Briefs like this are rare these days, and we are super grateful to have it come our way 🙏. Step 1) do what we do best, and assemble an absolute preeeeeemium team full of specialist artists (with the @lumberfly boys in the directing seat). Step 2) Watch in amazement as they discuss all manner of serious topics, like chicken hair doo's. We're really proud of what we created. More fun briefs please!

We often get sent briefs that are tricky. A lot of "how would we even DO this?". This is where Pixel Studio comes in. We can assemble a team of specialists quicker than you can say “build us a fully functioning cityscape made entirely of office supplies”. Pixel Studio is our creative melting pot. Our decades of researching “who does this?”, our clever contacts on speed dial. We know the people to do the thing.
This is what sets us apart from other traditional Production companies. We’re not a list of directors who never cross paths. We are a creative ensemble with design, animation and post in our DNA. It’s how we started as adorable little “The Pixel Kitchen” babies. And we still LOVE working this way.

Sept doesn’t just create pretty pictures - he is also heavily interested in the strategy and concept side of design, making him a master at creating strong visual identities for brands.
