Today marks the 1st Angelversary of our sweet sweet Mommy, the Queen Bee Ernestine Roache Reed. Oh how we miss her so. Dear God THANK YOU for giving us this amazing woman to be our mother! Gained her wings at home on 3.26.23 which was the day before we celebrated the life of our father who passed on 3.1.23...He came for her in time so they could watch his Homegoing together on 3.27.23. Today our parents 🕊️🕊️would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. It's the first one without them here. 2-21-24. We would have definitely planned something big! Last year May, 2025, for Mother's Day @bet digital produced a beautiful series that amplified women of BET with the special women in their family. At that time @andireedelmore and I were still working at BET. We were happy to have my daughter @its.summerreed and our sister @mavericksmom529 there. I remember thinking I wish they were highlighting families so King Doran our brother could be filmed with us.... little did we know how much our world would change in just a few days 🕊️... hence I never posted it.
