Last days diving of this trip and the last dive was a treat. Towards the end of the dive for some reason I turned around and coming towards me was a Great Hammerhead. These are the big cousins of the ones I met at Socorro and with extra size comes extra confidence. The crescent of their dorsal fin is unmistakable. A real treat to end a diving holiday that has been incredible. Many thanks to @emeraldcharters and the guide today @nic_lom who was a total legend. Friday night for badgers. Itās a constant battle of wits to see the badgers without disturbing them. The video clip happened first and I thought before he turned away it was going to walk straight to where I was. Their eyesight isnt great but their sense of smell is. The photos were of another badger who popped up behind me and could smell me as I was upwind of it. There was a few moments of smelling the air before it disappeared back down the sett before galloping off down the hill for an evening of badger pursuits #badger #spring #bbcwildlifepotd #westsussex #wildlife
Most winters I head over to Norfolk to see the seal pups. I left it late this season but couldnāt have timed it better. The day before there was a chance of snow on the Saturday. Originally I was going to drive up Saturday morning and come back Sunday but plans change and I went up Friday night. Got to Winterton beach at 7.30 just as the snow started. Within an hour it was a blizzard. Luckily I packed my cold weather gear. Spent Saturday night in Great Yarmouth and it really chucked it down. Glad I didnāt decide to sleep in the van that night. Also I did t manage to capture it but nothing is cuter or funnier than watching a seal pups slide down a snowy path! #seal #sealpup #norfolk #greyseal #ukwildlife
Been spending the last three evenings watching a litter of fox cubs. Tonight mum made an appearance. Sheās limping badly but still managed to bring food to the litter. Theyāre incredibly small for their colour. Cubs are born black, lighten to grey before finally going red. These are small because this is a large litter. 7 possibly 8 cubs as opposed to the normal 3-6. #fox #wildlife #canon #westsussex #spring
