This week is personal for me. I am a burn survivor.
Burn injuries don’t end when the wounds heal. They live on in scars, in pain that returns without warning, in fears people don’t see, like the sound of fire, the smell of heat, or the courage it takes just to feel normal again. Recovery is physical, emotional, and lifelong.
I share this to raise awareness, not for sympathy. Burn prevention matters. Safety warnings matter. Education matters. And compassion for burn survivors matters. To anyone walking this road, healing, learning, and finding strength again ,you are not alone.
