I’ve had a love-hate relationship with my parents’ marriage since I was a toddler. I always said if I ever got married, it was because of my parents and if I ever did not, it was because of them too. They had a beautiful display of affection alongside a toxic display of roles and responsibilities in a family.
I recently found out that love-hate relationship with someone you can’t just get up and walk out on is called marriage🤣 and I’m wondering how my mother did almost 40 years of that😭.
Today, I’m celebrating my parents!🥹
30+ years of being together and 7 children later, even with all the lashes my father blessed me with🤣, I’d choose them all over again. In a thousand lifetimes, I’d choose these two over and over again. I’m able to build a better and healthy home thanks to your example and even though I might be the black sheep of the family😂, I promise y’all will be proud of me🥹.
