My new album 'Shades of Red' is coming out on June 1! As you can guess from the title, this is the other side of the coin to my 'Hues of Blue' EP. I'm in a different head/heartspace than where I was before. And the resulting vibe, energy and sound are what I'd associate with crimson colours. So what does the colour red mean to you? So proud of the work the amazing @fabsabshk and @timothyfairless did with me on this. Every track is so different, each a different shade of red if you will. 🖍️🖍️ Pre-order link in bio.

The cover for my new album 'Hues of Blue' coming out on 1 Nov. 💙 Available for pre-order and pre-save now. Link in bio. . This EP is a collection of songs I recorded a few years ago. I believe each chapter of our lives are filled with a specific aura and colour. The moods and music here reflect a time in mine that was marked by a particular colour, but with every inspiration and song coming in different shades of it. Hence, I present to you my 'Hues of Blue'.

My debut album is now 10-years-old! 😱 It was initially released to iTunes on Dec 12, 2011, but says 2012 on certain sites since I switched distributors a year later. I've written for five albums in the past decade, with three being my own. It's been hard work and a blast making music and all the amazing people I've worked with on the music, visuals and videos. I wonder what lies ahead... 🥰

Hongkongers will soon get to experience American musician and singer-songwriter Charles Yang’s (@chazzviolin ) virtuosity as he brings his Ravel, Rhythm & Blues concert to town on May 17, accompanied by Peter Dugan (@peterduganpiano ) on piano. While no stranger to the city, this performance marks his recital debut and promises to be a “genre-blending programme”, with the set list spanning Monti and Ravel to the Beatles and jazz sets. What exactly drives the curiosity of this “rock star” violinist? Words: David Ho (@iamdho ) Photos: Getty Images, Jingyu Lin

Lyricist, playwright and director extraordinaire Jia Ding is reimagining Georges Bizet’s beloved ‘Carmen’ through a unique Hong Kong lens for the upcoming Opera Hong Kong (@operahongkong ) production. But what would ‘Carmen’, a story of burning love and brutal passion traditionally set in Seville, Spain, look like if that drama took place in 1978 Hong Kong instead? After decades of working with acrylics and oil on canvas, Japanese multimedia artist Ayako Rokkaku (@rokkakuayako ) has expanded her oeuvre to include sculptures of ceramic, bronze, and glass, all the while staying true to her signature technique. “The Island – Onigashima” marks her biggest and fluffiest piece to date. It’s so monumental that even Thai star #Bright Vachirawit (@bright ) came to town to check out the launch of her installation at the Landmark Atrium. In this week’s issue, Rokkaku speaks with PostMag’s managing editor, David Ho, about her practice. Words: David Ho (@iamdho ) Photos: Art Landmark, Alexander Mak (@alexanderalexismak )

On a rainy Sunday, nothing beats curling up on a sofa to read the latest issue of @scmp_postmag 🌧️📖☕ Oh, it also happens to be my first issue with them as managing editor! 🎉 There are some truly fabulous features to discover this issue, from the legacy of the iconic HSBC Main Building as it turns 40 to urban greening efforts and hippie culture among Chinese youth. 🏢🌱☮️ I contributed a quick read based on an interview with multimedia artist @rokkakuayako The Japanese finger-painter and sculptor made the gigantic plush patchwork island you see in @landmarkhk that even had Thai star @bright visiting the launch during HK Art Week. ⭐ Looking forward to working on future issues with the team! 🙌🏻 /
