there’s a point where the noise gets too loud—and you either try to compete with it, or step away entirely.
on “people on the internet,” Casey Conroy leans into clarity.
written from a place of burnout and creative pressure, the track doesn’t try to be louder—it just chooses to be honest. stripped back, deeply human, and quietly confronting, it reflects an artist who’s no longer interested in performing for the algorithm, but in saying something real.
this feels like a shift—not a beginning, but a return. one that trusts instinct over expectation.
we’ve been following casey’s work for a long time—she was actually the first artist we ever spotlighted—and getting to write about this moment feels incredibly full circle.

friday. "people on the internet" is all yours. 🥹🫶🏻
this was a song that was never written to be released and honestly it felt a little daunting to try promote it...on the internet. 👀 it's one of the first times in a long time that i felt more empowered by it's authentic representation of my thoughts than its ability to "go viral" or "make sense". i hope it finds it's place in this world and that it can mean something to you too. ❤️
