“Absence” available on all platforms tomorrow 3.24.26
Quick backstory:
Some of the homies had came at me in the Free Minds group chat about my absence, nothing crazy, but I didn’t feel understood; and these my brothas. I eventually had a reaction, and I was like “aight everybody try keeping up with me from here on out then!” 😂🤦🏾♂️
I turned a few records around in like 24hrs out of spite, but this one in particular… this one came after the storm of me. This one made me confront how I really felt about a lot of in regards to the year I was booked to skate a lot, but wasn’t releasing music; in regards to my absence.
I won’t spoil it though. For those that haven’t heard this record yet, we’ll pick this up on Tuesday.
Your calling isn’t casual.

As a multi-hyphenate, for me, every medium further informs the other; Being a competitive jam skater all my life gave me a wide taste in music. Being an artist helps me understand music and story better when I skate. Being a creative helps me gel the two as a craftsman and storyteller.
Elements Roller Dance Camp is about a week away! I have a theory that most people put on skates and forget that they love music, it becomes more about the moves and less about the reason and the feeling.
So out of all we’ll cover next weekend, I’m putting music at the center of it all; from how music changes influences the evolution of jam skating, to how you can connect your body with music to become the best version of yourself.
I want more from this life
I wanted more from this game
Said that we’d get it right
but ain’t a damn changed
Think I ain’t got much left
I’m burnt out in my flame
I’m hoping this get lit
before I’m out of my brain
Mind over matter only matters
when you doing sh*t that really matters—
instead of scavenging
Say that you’re the one, you up next, you the best
Then turn around and treat you like you’re average
it turned me savage
That sh*t the saddest it cut me deep like a digger
I dance through when it’s rocky I’m like Mick Jagger
No matter how you wanna frame it, ain’t picture perfect
I left the circus looking for purpose
Can’t play it subtle my daughter can’t want for nothin’
My homies be fighting cases and demons but we gon’ thug it
Feelings they try to surface, dodge ‘em and try shove it
Somethin then somethin then rise above it
When it’s heavy
This sh*t get heavy
I know it’s heavy
But I’m with you when it get heavy
(Ok)
Heavy is the head
Tell me “where yo’ crown?” / wear yo crown
They left me for dead
I’ma hold it down
It’s heavy
This sh*t get heavy
