FLYETISM is more than a reimagining of 2025’s Quietism. It illustrates the creative moments that lead to Quietism while showcasing the community that helped build it. Only seven out of twelve tracks are remixes while the rest represent the steps along the way.
“When I started gearing up for what would become Quietism, I was playing with new styles and tone. Written while building my studio in 2023 and inspired by the talk-singing ‘crank-rock’ of the UK, I thought Comeback would be the lynchpin of the record. Ultimately it felt a little too far out to hold things together and I quickly moved on but I felt it a necessary creative moment. This play also resulted in a 2023 demo: Adam Goldberg’s Vine. The Zilla Rocca produced Get There Fast was written in early 2024 and although it knocks, I felt the energy was a little bit more indignant than I’d like to move with. Included in the collection is a demo from the 2020 quarantine era; Poolside was written during the Cool Code and Don album and never felt like it belonged anywhere as a song, but provided the narrative songwriting I would later revisit. In the spirit of remixing, The Ballad of Mint and Chip (from Damn The Man Save The Empire) also gets the sauce.
These are a few places I’ve been, where I have been going, and hopefully where I am headed.

Last winter, the boys from Ronald Raygun (@toadstoolraps + @danfrombothbands ) had @_nahreally_ , @ialive + Wave Generators over to eat a hearty stew before our Providence show. We cooked up this heater as the stew was bubbling up in the dutch oven.
